ผมไปเจอหลังเรื่องนึงมา ยังไม่ได้ดูในเนื้อเรื่องหนัง

แต่ได้อ่านบทความสั้นๆของหนังแล้วรู้สึกว่า

เออ ! มันจริง

 

เราจะมัวหลอกตัวเราอยู่ทำไม

เราจะมัวมาภูมิใจกับวัฒนธรรมเราทำไม

ในเมื่อเราก็เดิมตามเทคโนโลยี อย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง

 

ยังพูดไทยคำอังกฤษคำ ยังรู้จักคำว่ามารยาท

ซึ่งเราก็เอามาจากเมืองผู้ดีของอังกฤษ

 

คุณไม่อาจปฏิเสธได้ว่า เมื่อกินข้าวเสร็จต้องรวบช้อนน่ะ

ถ้าลุกจากที่นั่ง ต้องเลื่อนเก้าอี้คืนน่ะ

หรือง่ายๆ อย่าง..

วัน X - mas ซึ่งหลายคนเรียก คริสมาส

วันปีใหม่ สากลโลกบอกว่าให้เปนวันที่ 1 มค.

วันแห่งความรัก

 

แล้วคุณยังจะเดินตามแฟชั่น

Director's note

In these past few years, there is growing unrest

in Thailand.

For me, the root of our problems which have never

been reviewed is “Thainess”. We are taught

tobelieve that Thai peopleshould have good

morals since our country is Buddhist country. 

That makes our Ministry of Culture spends most

of their time in working on media censorship.

Hatred of Muslim occurs in some people’s heart

but they have to hide their true feeling under

‘Thai smile’.

 

My film is still in the same style as I did before.

It was made to observe a small life in Bangkok,

the city of conflicts, the town that we’re trying

to pretend that we’re civilized. This film will lead

you to be trapped in a small hotel room

in the middle of Bangkok

(The hotel is now demolished and moved)

in order to listen to an opinion from the output

of the development of the metropolis which is called

in Thai “Krung Thep” or “City of Angels”.

Note:This documentary was shot

in Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s

government period and was edited when

Thaksin was ousted from power.

 

เป็นที่รู้กันดีว่าในช่วงสองสามปีมานี้ ประเทศไทยอยู่ในภาวะไม่สงบ

แต่สำหรับผม รากเหง้าปัญหาของเราที่ไม่เคยถูกทบทวน

คือ ความเป็นไทย เราถูกปลูกฝังให้เชื่อว่า

คนไทยควรอยู่ในกรอบของศีลธรรมอันดี

เพราะบ้านเราเป็นเมืองพุทธ

นั่นทำให้กระทรวงวัฒนธรรมต้องหมกมุ่น

และทำทุกวิถีทางที่จะเซ็นเซอร์สื่อมากที่สุดในช่วงนี้

และเกิดความเกลียดชังมุสลิมที่เราต้องพยายามซ่อน

ภายใต้ใบหน้าแกล้งยิ้มแบบคน ไทย

แน่นอนว่างานของผมยังคงเป็นไปในรูปแบบเดิม

คือเฝ้าสังเกตชีวิตเล็ก ๆ ในกรุงเทพ เมืองแห่งความขัดแย้ง

ที่ซึ่งเราเสแสร้งทำเป็นศิวิไลซ์

สารคดีเรื่องนี้จะพาคุณไปติดกับในห้องหับเล็ก ๆ

กลางกรุงเทพ(ที่บัดนี้โรงแรมแห่งนี้ถูกทุบทิ้ง และย้ายทำเลใหม่)

เพื่อฟังความจากผลผลิตความศิวิไลซ์ของเมืองใหญ่ที่เรียกกันว่า กรุงเทพ

(เมืองเทวดา)

หมายเหตุ: สารคดีเรื่องนี้ถ่ายทำในยุคทักษิณ และตัดต่อในสมัยหลังทักษิณถูกโค่นอำนาจ

 

เป็นยังไงครับ อยากติดตามกันบ้างรึยัง

ผมอยากลองดูหนังแนวนี้ดูน่ะ

พวกหนังสะท้อนสังคม

หนังดีๆแบบนี้ยังมีเยอะครับ

แต่หาไม่ได้ในโรงภาพยนตร์หรอก

คนที่มีสมอง และความคิด มักไม่ได้การสนับสนุน

เท่ากัน หนังสนุก เฮฮา ผีหลอก และความรัก

 

 บางคนอาจคิดว่าผมเอาหนังอะไรมา

เอามาทำไม หนังอะไร ไร้สาระ

ผมว่าคุณคิดผิด

คุณถูกป้อนมากกว่าถูกรับ

ยังไง งง ?

คุณเห็นแค่ทีวีไม่กี่ช่องที่เสนอข่าว

แต่คุณไม่อาจโกหกได้ 

ว่ามีข่าวอีกล้านๆข่าวทั่วโลก

และนี่คือหนังที่คนคนนึง

เขาทำ และเขามีชื่อเสียง

ในหลายประเทศ ซึ่งเขาเปนคนไทย

ที่เราไม่รู้จัก 

 

Thunska Pansittivorakul

เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 22 ตุลาคม 2516

สำเร็จการศึกษาจากภาควิชาศิลปศึกษา คณะครุศาสตร์

จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย

ระหว่างศึกษาเคยเป็นอาสาสมัครให้กับมูลนิธิหนังไทยอยู่ 4 ปี

เคยเขียนบทความให้นิตยสารมากมาย อาทิ ไบโอสโคป, อะเดย์,

หนัง:ไทย, แฮมเบอเกอร์,มูวี่ไทม์วีคลีย์ ,สารกระตุ้น , ฟิวส์ ฯลฯ

ซึ่งรวบรวมนักผลิตภาพยนตร์นอกกระแส ที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว

ผลงานภาพยนตร์สั้น และสารคดีขนาดยาวของเขา

เคยฉายตามเทศกาลต่าง ๆ มาแล้วไม่ต่ำกว่า 50 เทศกาลทั่วโลก

ภาพยนตร์สารคดีเรื่อง สวรรค์สุดเอื้อม(Happy Berry) 

ของเขาได้รับรางวัลกรังปรีซ์สารคดียอดเยี่ยม

จากเทศกาลสารคดีนานาชาติไต้หวัน เมื่อปี 2547

โปรเจ็คท์ศาลาคนเศร้า

ซึ่งเขาทำร่วมกับสมพจน์ ชิตเกษรพงศ์ ได้รับรางวัลสูงสุด

จากโครงการ PPP ในเทศกาลภาพยนตร์นานาชาติ เมืองปูซาน

ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ เมื่อปี 2548

และ ภาพยนตร์ทดลองเรื่อง ในวันที่ฝนตกลงมาเป็นคูสคูส

ได้รับรางวัล Special Mention เทศกาลภาพยนตร์อิสระ

ประเทศฮ่องกง ปี 2549

 

ปัจจุบันเป็นอาจารย์พิเศษสอนทางด้านภาพยนตร์ให้กับ

คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์

และคณะนิเทศศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ

ได้รับรางวัลศิลปาธร สาขาภาพยนตร์ ปี 2550

จากสำนักศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย

และกำลังผลิตภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Strangers’ Paradise

ซึ่งอำนวยการสร้างโดย อภิชาตพงศ์ วีระเศรษฐกุล
